[LIBJOBS] UNITED STATES - Kennesaw GA - Scholarly Communications Librarian

Kennesaw State University Library System seeks applications for a 12-month, non-tenure track, faculty librarian position:  Scholarly Communications Librarian, Graduate Library Services Unit, Librarian Associate Professor rank, which begins March 1, 2017.  Reporting to the Director of Graduate Library Services, the annual salary will have a negotiated range depending upon qualifications from $50,000 - $54,000 prorated to start date.  The successful candidate will serve as a member of the Graduate Library Unit and help guide the library system to meet the challenges of today's complex higher education organizations with an emphasis placed upon providing excellence in research, scholarship, digital publishing, and related intellectual property issues. In addition to specific job duties listed in the advertisement, this position also requires collection development, library liaison, and instruction duties.  This position may be required to work evenings and weekends and from various KSU learning sites. 

 

An earned Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program or international equivalent and five years of fulltime professional experience in a library or publishing environment with at least three of those years spent in an increasingly responsible role related to scholarly communications is required.  Continuous recruitment with first consideration given to complete applications received by February 3, 2017.
