LIBRARIAN II (Head of Youth Services)

Salary:  $44,000 Annually

Location:  Royal Palm Beach Branch Library, Royal Palm Beach, FL

Plans, provides and supervises the delivery of library services to children, young adults, parents and caregivers. Supervises one professional and two paraprofessional employees; prepares and presents children’s story times/other programs; provides collection development, reference and readers' advisory services; participates in long-range planning and committee work; oversees the Summer Reading Program.  Minimum Qualifications:  Master's Degree in Library Science accredited by the American Library Association; minimum of one (1) year of professional library experience. Preference Given for Experience supervising the work of others; with public library reference/collection development; working with children; overseeing a library reading program.
