ProQuest seeks a Global Sales Trainer – (Can be located anywhere in the US)

The Global Sales Trainer develops and drives sales-related training in support of the global sales team, distributors, partners, re-sellers, and other customer-facing staff.

What you'll be doing:

·         Design, develop and maintain blended e-learning courses both independently and as part of a team.

·         Repurpose existing sales training materials into compelling, interactive blended courses that engage learners with rich media, application simulations, branching scenarios, and quizzes.

·         Monitor quality assurance for delivery of courses and assessments. Effectively and accurately identify level of effort and time needed to storyboard and create blended courses. 

·         Apply current and emerging techniques and procedures for the design, development, and evaluation of online instructional programs

·         Explore, evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and courseware packages

·         Develop, deliver and ensure accuracy and timeliness of training content for new sales staff as a part of comprehensive onboarding program

·         Perform assessments and accreditation of sales staff, distributors, partners and re-sellers; propose plans for improvements and reports on finding and recommendations.

What you need to be successful:

·         Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Library Sciences, in addition to 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Strong understanding of training methodologies, systems and tools.

·         Deep understanding of the research library products and academic markets.

·         Commanding, authoritative and compelling presentation style that is founded in deep subject matter knowledge and strong interpersonal skills.

·         Exceptional prioritization and organizational skills, with the ability to assess urgency and apply logic to plan and develop timely, complete deliverables.

·         Capacity to learn and master new technology used in the industry.

·         Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, with expert skills in presentation software including PowerPoint .

·         Strong working knowledge of e-learning authoring software, such as Articulate and Captivate for rapidly creating and maintaining an interactive eLearning content library

 Ancillary Qualifications:

Qualifications listed below, while not necessarily a requirement for this position in each circumstance, provide additional depth and value to the role.

·         Library industry experience big plus

·         Familiarity with ProQuest products

·         Fluency in languages other than English.

·         Professional certifications in sales and/or training professions.

 

Other important information about this position:

·         Occasional travel is required.

·         This position requires weekday (Monday - Friday) attendance with some scheduling flexibility available around core working hours.
