[LIBJOBS] Librarian, Gonzaga-In-Florence - Florence, Italy

The librarian at Gonzaga in Florence is responsible for the organization, utilization, and maintenance of the Program's campus library of over ten thousand volumes and facilitating usage of the electronic resources available through the Gonzaga Spokane campus. This position also includes all services necessary for the preservation and improvement of this collection. The necessary obligations and duties may be organized in the following categories: Acquisitions & Technical Services, Academic Support, Public Services & Library Operations, and Maintenance. The librarian is required to make those decisions apropos to the management of the library. Major fiscal decisions, matters dealing with room renovations, or policy changes are done in consultation with the Dean of Gonzaga in Florence. The librarian will establish and maintain a strong relationship with the Gonzaga Spokane library. The librarian will be hired under an Italian national contract for an indefinite term.
 
The following is required of all applicants:
 
• Possess the right to work in the European Union, i.e. must already hold either an EU (European Union) passport or a work visa for Italy.
• Accredited Masters Degree in Library Science or European equivalent.
