PLLO’s Library Accountability and Administration unit establishes, administers and monitors branch and stakeholder accountability - legislative, contractual, financial, grant, and statistical; and library and literacy performance controls and mechanisms.  We require a creative and motivated professional to co-ordinate and implement accountability policies and programs.
 
This new position will be responsible for library and literacy:
  • information systems
  • statistical reporting
  • performance measurement
  • grants administration, budget analysis and financial reporting standards
  • LEAN processes
  • future trends
  • coordinating the training and development plan for branch staff
  • records  management. 
Working with a wide range of individuals in various libraries and government departments, and reporting to the Director of Accountability and Administration, your keen analytical skills and experience with statistics gathering, financial and information systems will enhance knowledge management functions for the Provincial Library and Literacy Office.
 
You will be a strategic thinker who is flexible and creative when dealing with policy issues and while recommending solutions.  You will have superior negotiation and consensus building skills.  You will also have strong leadership skills and be able to work effectively with a diverse group of partners, stakeholders and communities.  In addition, you will have strong writing and listening skills to support the development of province-wide policies.
 
Typically, the knowledge and abilities required for this position would be obtained through the completion of a Masters degree in Library Science.

Hours of Work
A - SGEU Office 36 - one day off every two weeks
