Training and Documentation Coordinator

Innovative Interfaces (www.iii.com) is a leading provider of integrated library management solutions for public, academic and corporate libraries. We are currently looking for a Training and Documentation Coordinator.  This position is responsible for coordinating and providing training and supporting information resources to Library Services staff.  This position will report to the Manager, Technology Support Department (TSD).

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Library Services Managers to develop staff competencies and to develop information resources and training to support those competencies.
  • Coordinate and monitor the New Employee Orientation program for Library Services staff including scheduling sessions, providing training on specific topics, coordinating expert area training with managers, tracking staff progress and providing feedback to managers.
  • Coordinate and monitor continuing education and refresher programs for existing staff, including managing staff training records and training schedules, organizing training sessions, and providing support and coaching for staff doing training.
  • Provide training and guidance for staff and customers on usage of technologies and information resources.
  • Create and maintain documentation on staff procedures, policies, tools and information resources.
  • Support technologies used for training and communication.
  • Develop information resources for Library Services staff as assigned.
  • Represent Technology Support on task forces and project teams as assigned to coordinate needs for documentation, training and technology.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • B.A./ B.S., M.L.S. or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years successful training and documentation experience; sound understanding of business and customer services practices and procedures.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills; flexibility, adaptability and initiative; ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure; strong commitment to providing superior customer service.
  • Excellent writing, presentation and training skills
  • Proficiency with HTML and other web technologies.
  • Some conference travel and occasional irregular shift schedules may be required.
