MANAGER TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT DEPARTMENT

The Manager, Library Service Operations Department, reports to Vice President, Library Service and is responsible for the management and effective use of tools and processes used by staff across the Library Service departments. The Manager is a member of the Library Service management team.

 

The position is based in Emeryville.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         To lead and manage staff internal tools, including ones used to publish information to customers

·         To lead and manage implementation and adoption of Sage SalesLogix CRM system

·         To assure that staff in all Library Service departments have the knowledge and skills to use these tools

·         To manage cross-departmental teams

·         To serve as a resource to Library Service managers in the investigation and integration of new tools into the usage and workflow

·         To assure adequate staff documentation in use of technologies employed by Library Service departments

·         To manage the production process of user documentation that originates in Library Service departments

·         To manage staff assigned to the department

·         To contribute to Company policy and strategic planning

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

·         MLS, MIS,  or other relevant degree, or equivalent work experience

·         Experience working with Innovative’s internal technologies and tools, with proven ability to manage, use, and train others on their use

·         Facility for learning new software and an understanding of underlying technologies

·         Proven management and leadership skills, with ability to lead and manage in a team environment

·         Detail-oriented approach with excellent follow-through

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·         Excellent organizational skills

·         Ability to close and finish projects within cost and time budgets

·         A positive and professional approach to working with colleagues and customers

·         Ability to undertake multiple projects at one time with ability to prioritize project needs

·         Ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment

·         Strong commitment to service

·         Flexibility, adaptability and ability to show initiative

·         Experience in strategic planning and change process
