We are seeking an experienced, Senior CentOS Linux Engineer/Systems
Administrator to join a team of experienced engineers who will be responsible
for deploying and managing a large enterprise?s CentOS Linux
infrastructure. The environment will end up having over 100 servers including
clusters.
The team has just commenced a major new project to replace all legacy systems
with CentOS servers.
We are looking for someone willing to take a lead role in ensuring industry
best practice is followed in the installation, configuration, and management
of hardware and software for the CentOS Linux environment. Relevant tertiary
qualifications, along with the relevant certifications, will be highly
regarded.
Experience
You will have the expertise and demonstrated skills in CentOS Linux systems
administration and management in a high availability environment with systems
running 24x7.
You must have experience in system design, deployment, problem resolution,
system monitoring and performance tools;
You must have the ability to work independently and as a member of a team as
required.
Skills
The following skills are ESSENTIAL:
? The ability to participate in planning, evaluation, installation, best
practice implementation, support and maintenance of new high availability
CentOS Linux servers.
? Participate in the monitoring of hardware and software resource usage and
in the optimisation of the servers.
? Develop, deploy and maintain procedures, configurations, tools for the
secure and effective operation of the servers.
