K-State Libraries seeks a creative, progressive and forward thinking leader committed to building research collections that support scholarship, who is passionate about new directions for modern special collections, and who is highly knowledgeable about emerging information and library technologies.  The successful candidate will provide senior leadership, vision, and innovation to the department in advancing progress towards and assessment of the department's and Libraries' strategic goals.  Master’s degree in library, information, or archival sciences from an American Library Association accredited program or relevant advanced degree with special collections experience; as well as a strong record of innovative leadership and management of technical, financial, and human resources in an academic or research library, including a minimum of three years successful personnel supervision required.  For a complete position description and application procedures, visit our website: www.lib.k-state.edu/jobs.
