Software Engineer

We’re seeking entry-level software engineers with 1-2 years of work experience.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work within a product team environment to identify and assess technical requirements and develop software product functionality to meet those requirements.
  • Develop new and enhance existing software products.
  • Assist in the identification, design, and implementation of solutions for software defects.
  • Produce high-quality and on-time deliverables according to planned project goals.
  • Support QA testing efforts and assist colleagues in troubleshooting production problems.
  • Maintain flexibility and strong working relationships with peers and management.
  • Attention to detail and focus on quality.

 

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate proficiency coding in Java and C.
  • Strong familiarity with OO design and development methodologies.
  • Experience developing in a UNIX environment.
  • Ability to effectively learn and use new technologies.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills and teamwork.
  • Ability to manage workload and conflicting priorities.

 

Desired Experience:

  • Relational databases and database design.
  • Experience with Postgres or MySQL.
  • Experience developing Servlets and JSPs in an Apache/Tomcat environment.

·         Experience with HTML and XML.

·         Experience developing Apache proxy configurations via standard and proprietary Apache directives

 

Education:

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
