Duties: Performs work that requires full professional knowledge of the theories, principles, and practices of librarianship to select, organize, preserve, access, manage, and disseminate information associated with public/patron services, technical services and automation services. Provides reference/research using text and online searching principles, reader's advisory/selective dissemination of information, circulation, programming and library instruction, marketing/public relations, interlibrary loans, and an up-to-date web presence. Performs technical services functions including acquisitions, procurement, cataloging/classification, physical processing, and accountability of materials.

 

Qualifications:

A master's degree in library science, information services, or information management from an accredited college or university. Additionally, one (1) year of progressively responsible work experience is desired which showcases the ability to perform patron/public services, technical services, and/or library automation service functions. Must be familiar with office software products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Must have the ability to communicate orally and in writing.

Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is authorized, subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations.
