Support Systems engineer LINUX/WINDOWS

I am currently looking for a support engineer in Adelaide for a permanent
role. My client is one of the largest hosting company in Australia.

Your responsibilities:

As a member of the Service Desk team, your key responsibility will be to
provide level 1 and 2 technical support in the investigation and resolution
of reported incidents from our blue-chip customers. In doing so, you will
ensure compliance with service center targets for customer inquiry handling
and escalation management, whilst maintaining appropriate customer contact to
manage expectations and requirements through the incident resolution process.

Reporting to the Service Desk Manager, your demonstrated knowledge and
troubleshooting experience with Microsoft and Linux Operating systems will be
highly regarded, as will your familiarity with 2000/2003 servers. Your
technical experience, in conjunction with your exceptional customer service
and communication skills, will guarantee your success and job satisfaction.

System Administrator (FreeBSD/Linux) - Perth - permanent full time, up to
90k+super

System Administrator

* Permanent role
* Salary up to $90,000 plus super

CalorieKing is looking for a System Administrator to join our System
Administration Team based in Perth. The successful applicant will be
responsible for administration of the live hosting environment
comprising of web and database servers located in the Perth CBD and in
the United States, as well as development and intranet servers located
at our Nedlands office.

Additionally, your responsibilities will include:

* Monitoring system stability and performance
* Writing documentation
* Administration of the office LAN
* Some desktop support to office staff

The right applicant will have:

* At least 2 years commercial experience as a UNIX/Linux System
Administrator
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent troubleshooting skills
* The ability to work unsupervised and use initiative
* A willingness to learn
* Knowledge/awareness of the following technologies:
- FreeBSD and/or Linux
- TCP/IP networking
- DNS
- MTAs (Postfix, Sendmail)
- firewalls
- scripting languages (shell, PHP, Python)
- web servers (Apache/thttpd/lighttpd etc)
- database systems (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
- SQL
- Virtualisation technologies / VMWare
- High availability and load balancing/failover technologies

* Knowledge/awareness of:
- Cisco IOS
- Foundry ServerIron load balancers
- Java Application Servers (Tomcat)
* Previous experience:
