Online Learning Community
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all elements of Mystic Seaport’s new Online Learning Community project, including activities and implementation of the four-phased plan of work which involves research, evaluation and implementation. The project goal is to develop a dynamic, interactive online learning community where children, teachers, parents, and Museum staff can participate in the co-creation of authentic learning experiences for all ages. Required qualifications: BA/BS in education or information science, teaching experience, preferably in an online environment. At least three-five years experience in a museum, school or library setting related to at least one of these areas: multimedia/interactive design, digital media production, new media, web design/development, or library sciences. Preferred qualifications: Advanced degree in education or library/information science, experience with web server and related protocols and services. Knowledge of state-of-the-art digital technologies and successful experience implementing major digital media initiatives is beneficial. Grant-funded, two year position is Regular Full time. Some weekend and evening work required.
