SUPPORT ADMINISTRATOR
Rising Sun Pictures, one of Australia's leading VFX specialists, is
currently seeking an enthusiastic and talented Support Administrator for
our Adelaide office.
In this role you will be troubleshooting complex issues to ensure an
efficient and stable work environment for end users. The operating
system environment is mostly Linux and OSX but includes some windows
workstations.
Skills and Experience:
? 2-3 years working with Linux operating systems supporting end users.
? Installation of software in Linux.
? Experience working with a ticket tracking system for work allocation.
? Experience with setup and maintenance of web applications servers.
? Some Sys Admin skills relating to (SVN,Authentication, networks, DNS,
DHCP, NFS etc...)
? Redhat RHCT, RHCE Certification highly regarded.
Responsibilities:
? Complete & update technical support tickets
? Systems and Work Environment configuration for end users.
? Ensure end user work environment is configured and operating as expected.
? Contribute to documentation for end users.
We are looking for candidates available to start as soon as possible.
This will be for an initial 6 month contract, with the potential to extend.

RENDER WRANGLER
Rising Sun Pictures, one of Australia's leading VFX specialists, is
currently seeking an enthusiastic and talented Render Wrangler for our
Adelaide office.
SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be able to work in a Linux based operating system using command
line tools and understand file system navigation and have basic
knowledge of unix and python scripting.
- Show or quickly develop a basic understanding of Maya, Nuke, Shake and
3Delight.
- Monitor and proactively manage the render farm queue:
- Prioritise farm submissions according to production needs.
- Troubleshoot render submission issues, examine for hardware or
software causes, and escalate issues to appropriate departments as needed.
- File and follow up tickets with any ongoing issues through to software
suppliers
- Generate and distribute render report at the end of each shift.
- Contact appropriate people for any out-of hours render issues per
production instructions.
- As per production request, monitor FTP upload for deliveries and
ensure the delivery to the FTP is complete with necessary technical checks.
- Communicate clearly and inform production of obstacles immediately.
