Dear colleagues,
I'm sharing with you this info about the local initiative on the universal concerns.
On October 3rd 2016. Croatian National Campaign for people with print disabilities, "I want to read!", started.
Campaign slogan is: Do you have difficulty reading? Welcome to the library!
The aim of this campaign is to inform and educate the public, rising awareness for the issues of people with print disabilities and dyslexia. The campaign, run by librarians, will try to connect all participants in the process of advocacy for better understanding of equal right to read.
One of the goals is to influence adjustment of the Croatian Law on Copyright to include people with various reading difficulties and dyslexia in order to gain easier access to information and knowledge.
Head of this initiative is the Croatian Library Association - the Commission for library services for people with disabilities and people with special needs.
