[LIBJOBS] Dublin Ireland - Library Clerk

LAC Group seeks Library Clerks to assist with a long-term collection management services project for a prestigious library in Dublin, Ireland. Need is immediate, pending award of tender. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the activities necessary to the provision of full access to the collections.

 

Responsibilities:

 

•Box, sort, and physically move library materials for organization

•Assist with preservation cleaning of materials

•Add barcodes, security tags, labels and stamping per collection management specifications

•Shelve materials once processed

•Continually shelf check to ensure accurate organization

 

Qualifications:

 

•Have an appreciation and understanding of the value and importance of historical library collections

•Excellent organizational and IT skills

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

•Ability to work under instruction or on own initiative

•An aptitude for repetitive work carried out to a high standard

•Must have attention to detail

•Must be able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

•Must be able to achieve set deadlines and deal effectively with large quantities of items
