Job Title Instructor/Affiliate Librarian - Reference Librarian  

Salary $35,000   Pay Basis 12 months   Campus USC Beaufort   Expected Fill Date  = January 1, 2012  

 

Job Description:

The Reference and Instruction Librarian provides reference services and instruction of various types to students, faculty, staff, and other library users. Reference is done in-person and via electronic methods. This position also assists faculty in Instructional Design for their online courses. Assistance to faculty and instruction are done to support the university's goal of developing information literate students. The incumbent works a flexible schedule of 37.5 hours per week.   This position is located on the Historic Beaufort campus.  Circulation and various other duties are a part of this position.

 

Minimum Qualifications:    

ALA-accredited masters degree in library and information science.  

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with Art students strongly preferred.
Recent experience in an academic library.
Recent teaching experience, preferably at the college level.
Recent experience with Blackboard and LibGuides.
