IFLA LIS Student Paper Award 2016

Berlin, January 25, 2016

The IFLA Education & Training Section has the pleasure to announce the IFLA LIS Student Paper Award for 2016. The IFLA LIS Student Paper Award will honour students of Library and Information Science whose abstract submissions have been accepted by any IFLA Section or IFLA Unit to be presented at the upcoming

82nd IFLA Congress, 13–19 August, 2016 in Columbus, Ohio, USA
http://2016.ifla.org/.

Three finalists will be recognized for their outstanding achievements.

Students must first follow one of the deadlines of any IFLA section Call for Papers (http://2016.ifla.org/programme/calls-for-papers). Once the paper is accepted for presentation by any IFLA section at the World Congress (not a satellite conference), you may then send your full paper to SET to apply for the award not later than 15 April 2016.

The winner will receive in total up to 1000 € to support the current IFLA Congress registration fee as well as visa, economy airfare and economical lodging. Furthermore the paper will be recommended for publication in the IFLA Journal. Second and third place finalists will receive a certificate.

The finalists will be announced in May 2016. The winner will be officially during the IFLA Awards Presentation during WLIC 2016 in Columbus, Ohio.
