CHILDREN’S SERVICES SUPERVISOR

(Salary: $44,933; exempt; full benefits)

 

This professional management/supervisory position assures that children, their families and caregivers experience the joy of reading in a friendly, creative, dynamic Children’s Room at the Thurmont Regional Library in Frederick County .

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  -  Master of Library Science (MLS) degree from an ALA accredited program – may accept

     candidates who are eligible to obtain MLS within 1 year of hire

- 2 years of professional  or paraprofessional library work experience that includes 1 year in Children’s Services – preference may be given for this experience in a public library setting

- 1 year work experience in a supervisory and/or lead capacity role
