seeking to engage a talented, energetic Systems Engineer to come on board and
help take this organisation to the next level.

On offer is your chance to join this cohesive team of busy technologists
supporting a large Open Source ISP environment. You will not only be
providing pro-active operational support you will be involved in ongoing
projects, Change Management, systems monitoring as well as involvement in the
design and architecture of solutions throughout the business.

as will your demonstrated experience operating within a structured
environment using best-practice processes.

Skills in the following technologies are required:

- Linux - RedHat / CentOS
- PERL scripting
- MySQL
- Mail / Web Servers (e.g. SendMail / QMail, Apache)
- Virtualisation ? VMWare
- LDAP / Radius / DNS
- Data Centre

Typical operational tasks include Change Management, Fault Troubleshooting /
Escalation, Capacity Management as well as pro-actively monitoring all
systems under your remit to ensure reduced downtime / issues.

Those with ITIL experience (particularly Change / Incident / Problem) are
encouraged to apply.

Also, those with experience working in a heavily web-focused / digital media
/ online environment .

Linux support specialist engineer

I am currently looking for a System Linux engineer for a one in a life time
opportunity to relocate in a small town in WA. The role duties are the
following:

- Providing ICT support to local and remote mission systems (encompassing
computer and network hardware, software and satellite systems).
- Maximize operational availability
- Maintain system maximum capability in accordance with customer priorities.

For this role I require:

- Good knowledge of Red Hat Linux, Sun Solaris, Unix, Netbackup, windows
server 2000 and database administration.
- A strong experience in technical support
- A tertiary or technical qualification in either or both:
Electronics or Communications Engineering
Information or Computer Technology
- Terrestrial or satellite communications operations and maintenance
knowledge
- Working knowledge of electrostatic sensitive device (ESD) procedures.
- Telecommunications open cabling registration with structured cabling and
optical fiber cabling endorsements.
- Able to obtain an appropriate Australian Government Security Assessment.

For this role we offer a competitive salary package of $90+K + super + on
call bonus + relocation package.
