Multitype Library Services Coordinator - LIB000241  Employment Type:  Permanent Full-time Location(s) SK--Regina and Area-Regina     Ministry 005 Education Salary Range:  $30.922-$38.749 Hourly Grade:  SGEU.10. The Saskatchewan Provincial Library and Literacy Office (PLLO) is seeking a professional librarian to develop, co-ordinate and implement policies and programs related to mulitype library services in Saskatchewan and to provide support to the Multitype Library Board in the implementation of its strategic plan.   The Provincial Library and Literacy Office is entrusted through The Public Libraries Act, 1996, to co-ordinate and support the province-wide public library system. It also provides secretariat support to the Multitype Library Board, as per The Libraries Co-operation Act, legislation which gives PLLO the mandate to support co-operation and resource-sharing among libraries and other information providers throughout the province.   The successful candidate will work to achieve the Multitype Library Board’s goals and objectives, including digitization projects, and in support of the Multitype Database Licensing Program, with the others in the work unit.   The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker who is flexible and creative when dealing with policy issues and recommending solutions. You will have superior negotiation and consensus building skills. You will also have strong leadership skills and be able to work effectively with a diverse group of partners, stakeholders and communities. In addition, you will have strong research and communication skills to support the development of province-wide policies. The preferred candidate will need knowledge and skills in the area of e-resource licensing and management.     Typically,the knowledge and abilities required for this position would be obtained through the completion of a Master’s degree in Library Science.
