LIBRARIAN V ( Information Technology Division Head)
Salary: $55,735 Annually, Negotiable Depending on Qualifications
Location: Administration, 3650 Summit Boulevard, West Palm Beach, FL
Manages the Library's automation resources, directs system-wide information technology services and serves as a member of the Library's management team to address system-wide concerns. Identifies and evaluates emerging technologies; recommends necessary automation initiatives; manages successful implementation, operation and maintenance. Responsible for 1200 or more computers and an Integrated Library Automation System that processes over 16 million transactions in one year. Minimum Qualification: Master's Degree in Library Science accredited by the American Library Association; minimum of four (4) years of professional experience in information systems project management including three (3) years of professional supervisory/administrative work. Preference given for experience as a System Administrator or Project Manager for an Integrated Library Automation System (ILS); using ILS query tools/reporting functions to provide customized information about collections, users and circulation; with public or academic library.
