[LIBJOBS] Posting: Assessment Librarian Position at Oregon State University

Oregon State University Libraries & Press (OSULP) invites applications for the position of Assessment Librarian, a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level.  The successful candidate will work to improve Oregon State University Libraries & Press (OSULP) services and programs, with particular emphasis on the student experience, through the gathering and interpretation of a broad range of data to guide decision-making at the departmental and administrative level. We seek a colleague interested in building on existing efforts and in developing and implementing new programs and initiatives to support assessment projects initiated across the library. Applying strong communication and teamwork skills, the Assessment Librarian will promote the integration of assessment into all phases of planning and services. 

Required Qualifications

  • A Master's degree from an ALA-accredited program or an international equivalent degree, or a Master's degree in a data-intensive discipline
  • Demonstrated experience designing assessment projects, defining research questions, documenting and analyzing data to improve services, programs or guide decision-making
  • Project coordination experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as well as independently
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity 

The anticipated starting salary will be $50,000 - $55,000, in addition to a generous vacation and benefits package.
