Position: Librarian II (Head of Youth Services)
Salary: $45,321 Annually
Location: West Boynton Branch Library

Plans, provides and supervises the delivery of library services to children, young adults, parents and caregivers. Supervises one professional and two paraprofessional employees; prepares and presents children’s story times/other programs for children and teens; provides collection development, reference and readers’ advisory services and outreach to the local schools and community; participates in long-range planning and committee work; oversees the Summer Reading Program; oversees the building with regard to the health and safety of staff and patrons as needed.
Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Library Science accredited by the American Library Association; minimum of one (1) year of professional library experience. Preference given for experience supervising the work of others; public library reference/collection development experience; working with children, teens, parents and caregivers; planning programs for children and teens; overseeing a library reading program.
