Description:
The incumbent in this position functions as the lead librarian and supervisor in the absence of the Program Manager. Under general supervision, the incumbent performs a variety of technical and professional librarian duties of moderate to complex difficulty, including providing information and assistance to customers of all ages; providing information concerning collection location, content, and circulation policies; performing reference and reader advisory services; performing collection management within assigned area. Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science, Education or a related field is required. Minimum of six (6) months working experience administrating a library or in a supervisory capacity in a related field is required. Any equivalent combination of relevant education/training and experience will be considered. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Must demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Must demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
