Salary Range:  $8,527-$11,085 Monthly

Grade:  MCP.10.

 

Your passion for developing and building library and literacy networks that put all learners first makes you an ideal candidate for this term position. Using your skills in strategic planning, consultation processes and co-operative, province-wide service development you and your three Directors will work with public libraries, literacy organizations, and the larger library and archive community to support all Saskatchewan residents in their life-long learning goals.

Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister of Education, you and your team will provide recommendations that help shape the future direction of diverse province-wide library and literacy services, informed by the voices of First Nation, Métis and Inuit peoples, new Canadians, rural/remote/Northern residents and learners of all ages and abilities.

Representing the Ministry on the Multitype Library Board, the Saskatchewan Information and Library Services Consortium Board, the National Network for Equitable Library Service, the Saskatchewan Library Trustees’ Association and other provincial and national organizations, you will work collaboratively within the Ministry, across government and the throughout the sector to develop new programs and support existing services.

In addition to your Masters in Library and Information Science, you will have: demonstrated success in leading existing or emerging province-wide consortial or co-operative services; significant management experience; and, excellent communication and writing skills. Experience in government processes is an asset but not required.
