The La Porte County Public Library is seeking a creative, energetic, and innovative candidate who believes in the mission of libraries and wants to share that enthusiasm with the public.
The ideal candidate is responsible for programming for all ages in a community branch setting, conducting outreach visits to community schools and organizations, and the promotion of all library services, materials, and resources. The Coolspring Branch Librarian will hire, train, and supervise branch staff. This position includes participation in library committees, selection of library materials, and requires the ability to create positive user experiences.
Knowledge of social media platforms, current library trends, materials selection practices, and customer service experience is required. A Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program and public library experience is required.
