King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) is a major new graduate university focused on becoming a leader in science and technology research and graduate education. The University Library currently has an opening for a Assistant Archivist/Records Manager to assist with implementation of the university's records management policy, management of the University Records Center, and development of programs to document the university's development and digitize records.  Major responsibilities include acquiring, arranging, describing, processing, and preserving institutional records and archival materials and administering the physical records storage facility.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

•    Bachelor's degree. Masters' degree in library or archival science preferred.

•    Experience with archival and records management standards and best practices (e.g., ISO 15489).

•    Ability to use digital archiving  and digitization technologies.

•    Fluency in English speaking and writing.
