[LIBJOBS] Librarian-Trenton, NJ

TFPL seeks enthusiastic MLIS for LTR!
Have you always wanted to start your own programs, work closely with a collection and help write policy instead of following 'how it's always been done'? Are you passionate about literacy and children's programming? Do you like to work with a diverse population? Are you bored sitting at a desk all day? If you wanted to be a librarian because you love people and want to make a difference in your community, we want to meet you! The Trenton Free Public Library is not your sleepy neighborhood branch—each day brings new excitement, it is not always quiet and you definitely will not sit at reference all day. We're looking for a librarian who wants to work with children, who has a embraced social media, has a good grasp of recent and upcoming technology, who enjoys working in a diverse, urban environment and is an active, communicative Type A person. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus and a sense of humor is a MUST!

Applications will only be accepted online directly to the New Jersey Civil Service Commission. For a detailed position description and/or to apply for this position visit http://info.csc.state.nj.us/Vats/WebAnno.aspx?FileNumber=16662
