Senior Scientific and Technical Information (STI) Manager

The position of Senior Scientific and Technical Information (STI) Manager is a senior management position with both operations and strategic planning responsibilities. At Information International Associates (IIa), you will be asked to apply your extensive experience and initiative toward innovation, with the responsibility to build, maintain, and operate, a state-of-the-art Federal government information analysis center including the development of a collection in very dynamic national security-related fields.

Location:  MD and VA

Duties:

 

·         Acts as Deputy Director of the Center and manages internal operations.

·         Oversees the collection and management of a comprehensive collection of the worldwide literature on information assurance, simulations and modeling and software development. Government and commercial information as well as new information formats are to be considered.

·         Acquires agency unclassified STI and non-agency STI from Federal and international organizations pertinent to the national defense interests.

·         Oversee the publication, in electronic and print media, of newsletters, state-of-the-art reports, briefings, RSS feeds, etc on a periodic or episodic basis

·         Plans and supports the development of  technical conferences and meetings

·         Has responsibility for maintaining cataloguing, metadata, and data integration standards

·         Establish a state-of-the-art data harvesting effort using advanced web search technologies

·         Establish techniques to gather similar information from agency contractors and other sources in academia and industry required to submit such information to agency databases

·         Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with agency network of Information Analysis Centers, with respect to collection development, information dissemination, information management technology advances, and customer outreach

Requirements:

·         Advanced degree in an information related discipline plus minimum of 10 years experience in Information Management

·         Experience in developing an electronic digital collection and metadata (knowledge of COSATI format a plus)

·         Capable of holding a secret clearance

·         DoD Background a plus

·         PMP and CISA certification desirable
