This position is part of the Implementation Services Department and responsible for managing both US and international staff that develops and deliver customer training for Innovative products and overseeing Innovative’s training and consulting programs.  This position may be based either in the Emeryville office or in the field. Preference will be given to candidates willing to be based in the Emeryville office or those willing to adjust working hours to closely coincide with Emeryville office hours.  Occasional travel required.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

·         Manage development of new training and consulting programs.

·         Oversee development of online tutorials and other online instructional tools.

·         Oversee the scheduling of workshop programs.

·         Work with other departments to ensure appropriate staff is available to lead workshops for topics not covered by training staff.

·         Track change in training technology and champion the introduction of new tools as appropriate for Innovative.

·         Assist training staff with functionality questions.

·         Perform all necessary supervisory functions to effectively and efficiently manage staff.

·         Recruit and maintain qualified staff.

·         Ensure proper training and development of staff members.

·         Ensure compliance with company policies and procedure.

·         Communicate areas of accountability and performance expected of staff members.

·         Other responsibilities as needed for the success of the organization.

 

Qualifications: 

 

·         At least three years experience working with integrated library systems.

·         Excellent record of performance in a collaborative work environment.

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

·         Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.

·         Problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

·         Sensitive to cultural differences.

 

Desired

 

·         Experience in instructional design.

·         Experience working with international customer base.

·         At least 2 years experience in direct management of professional staff.

·         MLS or equivalent.

·         Ability to speak and/or write in a foreign language is a plus. Chinese, Arabic, or Spanish preferred.
