Product Manager – Electronic Strategy

We are currently looking for a dynamic and articulate Product Manager with the ability to direct a substantial and transformational ongoing product management effort.  This role will be responsible for determining and executing the best strategic approach to library management of electronic resources. The ideal candidate will be able to identify and enhance strategy relating to electronic resources and ebooks, as well as manage strategic development initiatives across corporate product portfolio.

Principal Responsibilities:

·         Develop a strategic and comprehensive product plan covering all aspects of electronic resources.

·         Identify and drive market needs andproduct requirements working with Product Development to assess, prioritize and manage product deliverables.

·         Work closely with Sales on product support, demonstrations, messaging and strategy with the goal of driving demand and increasing share for Innovative Interfaces’ product lines.

·         Primary responsibility for business development activities related to electronic resource product strategy.  Develop and maintain senior-level relationship with customers, vendors and/or corporate partners.

·         Act as key resource to marketing organization to articulate a clear, singular product vision and primary collaborator on tactical marketing program development.

·         Other Product Management activities including, representing Innovative Interfaces at trade shows and library forums and other committees; act as strategic peer using social media and other communication channels.


Skills and Abilities:

·         Capable of performing at a “corporate level”;Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary as the position requires engaging with customers, partner vendors and competitors and with all departments within the company. 

·         Master of Library Science and/or substantive experience in libraries or the library automation marketplace.  Demonstrated understanding of the Library and Internet markets;

·         Solid understanding of Company’s competitors and competitive offerings;

·         Strong verbal and written skills

·         Salary depending on qualifications
