First Call for Papers
Dear students, professionals and Library and Information Sciences lovers! In 2016, the annual BOBCATSSS symposium will be held in Lyon, France, from January 27-29.
The 24th BOBCATSSS symposium is a European conference dedicated to Library and Information Sciences. The event is organized by students and teachers from Enssib, the National Superior School of Information Sciences and Libraries (France), the University Institute of Technology (university Paris Descartes), department of Information & Communication (France) and the School of Information Sciences, University of Tennessee - Knoxville (USA).
BOBCATSSS is a unique opportunity for students and young professionals to showcase their academic work, share ideas and build an international network in the LIS field.
Our chief goal in the 24th symposium is to bring together students, professors and professionals to discuss the topics of Information, Libraries and Democracy.
We welcome your contribution! The program includes paper presentations, workshops, poster exhibitions, short presentation sessions and invited keynote speakers. Details about the topics and guidelines are provided in the instructions below.
BOBCATSSS 2016 explores the main theme through several key topics:
- The Role of Libraries in Democratic Cultures
- Intellectual Freedom and Censorship
- Libraries, Open Access and Open Data
- Protecting Privacy
Types of contributions:
- Papers (8 pages maximum, 20 minutes talk)
- Posters (displayed during the conference, 5 minutes of presentation)
- Workshops (25 to 30 participants, 90 minutes maximum)

Authors' notification: November 20, 2015
