Territory: U.S. based/Eastern Territory

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position within the Customer Sales group is devoted to working with Innovative's existing library customers to continue and strengthen our relationship with each customer site, and to sell additional products and services.

·         Communicate and partner with library directors and system coordinators on system expansion possibilities and planning.

·         Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate software and hardware additions.

·         Conduct onsite meetings, product presentations, telephone calls and web-ex presentations.

·         Attend several trade conferences annually.

·         Provide outstanding service and overcome customer’s objections.

·         Follow company sales process.

·         Succeed in attaining personal and company goals.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires Master of Library Science and/or substantive experience in libraries or the library automation marketplace. Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary. Previous sales experience and working knowledge of Innovative's products are highly desirable. Candidate must be located in the United States.

·         5-10+ years experience working a territory, building relationships and creating product demand.

·         Ability to forecast and achieve sales goals.

·         Excellent communication and presentation skills.

·         Demonstrated experience and prior success in closing deals.

·         CRM skills, SalesLogix a plus.

·         Must be willing and open to 50% travel.
