LIBRARIAN IV (Serials Manager)
Salary: $52,528 Annually
Location: Main Library, 3650 Summit Boulevard, West Palm Beach, FL
Responsible for administration and effective operation of the Main Library serials section and provides serials expertise for the Library System. Provides access to both the print and online serials collections; maintains bibliographic records for access. Plans and oversees the delivery of service at a Serials public service desk and the Library Computer Center. Provides system-wide staff training and support for the public computer sign-up software, printing equipment, and serials online claiming system. Responsible for the Library’s Professional collection and special archival collections in print and microform format, as well as the standing order reference collection. Teaches classes on technology/computer topics; assists as part of the Main Library Supervisor On Call team to provide consistent handling of security and policies. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Library Science accredited by the American Library Association; minimum of three (3) years of professional experience that includes two (2) years of supervisory or administrative experience. Preference given for experience with Serials collection management of resources in print and online; project/team management; oral and written presentations.
