A new job has been posted on the Linux Australia website.
http://linux.org.au/content/perl-developers-x-2-intersect
===================

Intersect is a research support company focusing on ?eResearch? - the use
of advanced ICT methods to enable and enhance research methods. Intersect
undertakes a range of projects across disciplines as part of our service to
members.

To meet the growing demand for our services in NSW we?re seeking energetic
and bright professionals with strong Perl skills.

These roles will be working on a project at AustLII, a joint facility of the
UTS and UNSW Faculties of Law which is based out at UTS in Broadway. AustLII
is Australia's most popular online free-access resource for Australian legal
information, serving the needs of a multitude of users with over 900,000 hits
daily. Its broad public policy agenda is to improve access to justice through
better access to information. To that end, they have become one of the
largest sources of legal materials on the net, with over four million
searchable documents.

We are looking for experienced Developers with up to 5 years experience and
with strong Perl skills. You also should have a solid understanding of the
software development life cycle and have knowledge of testing procedures,
especially unit testing.

Strong communication skills is a must. You will be dealing with legal
documents, so you will need to have a strong command of the English language.
Whilst you will be working alongside other Developers (currently a team of
8), a lot of the work you will be doing is on stand alone projects, so the
ability to work autonomously with little direction is critical.

Intersect provides a dynamic environment with plenty of technical challenges
in which you can grow your software development skills.
