This full-time role is offered for a help desk / junior systems
administrator. Applicants must be well presented and highly professional. The
organisation is looking for a junior to take over helpdesk and systems
administration and to provide assistance to the IT manager for other
projects.
This full-time position requires close liaison with the IT manager and
provides lots of exposure to all facets of Information Technology and is a
huge learning potential for a candidate willing to work hard. The
organisation requires these services to accommodate growth and assist with a
glut of projects and to assist with the day to day running of the IT
department.
The company is a leading wholesaler with twenty two sites around Australia
servicing over 150 employees. The successful candidate will be predominantly
working out of our Belmont WA site.
Job description:
Level 1 and level 2 help desk including daily maintenance tasks such as
backup administration
Support users from all technical backgrounds with the view to improving their
skills through top quality support and ongoing training and coaching
Configuration and support of LAN / WAN and server infrastructure
Support and maintenance of desktop PC?s, laptops, printers and other IT
related hardware including server room equipment.
Support and maintenance of business software including MS Office, anti-virus
and other productivity software packages, including support of our Linux
based productiity software and Scalix servers .
Technical documentation, records and IT asset management
Support of knowledge management systems and their ongoing maintenance ?
advance knowledge information management culture within the organisation
Assist IT manager with any other IT related projects
Essential Criteria:
Passion for information technology with excellent technical research and
trouble-shooting skills
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP based internetworking
Experience in configuration, deployment and troubleshooting of Microsoft
operating systems such as Windows XP and Windows 7
Competency and comfort with pulling apart, troubleshooting and repairing
computers
Flexible, reliable and hardworking with a can do attitude, ability to work
without supervision

The Role
My client is the developer and supplier of a superior cross platform,
industry specific ERP system which is used throughout Australia, USA and
South East Asia in multi site, multi franchise businesses. They have a very

Based in the South Sydney Head Office you'll primarily be the Subject Matter
Expert For Red Hat related projects and issues as well as working with
Windows projects and issues. You'll be performing projects on site at

What we're looking for:
- Strong experience installing and administering Linux Servers (Ideally Red
Hat Enterprise) - this is ESSENTIAL.

- Experience with Security and Network devices.
- A Willingness to learn new technologies
- Strong troubleshooting skills
