Dear all,
IFLA’s statements at this year’s World Intellectual Property Organisation General Assembly are now all available online. These include:
· A General Statement, setting out the importance of the limitations and exceptions agenda: www.ifla.org/files/assets/clm/statements/item_5_-_ifla_statement.pdf
· A Statement on work in the Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights, underlining the need for an international legal instrument, and a balanced agenda for the Committee: www.ifla.org/files/assets/clm/statements/item_11_-_ifla_statement.pdf
· A Statement at the inaugural Marrakesh Assembly (bringing together the (now) 24 countries which have ratified the Treaty), congratulating all those who contributed to the Treaty, and calling for effective implementation that leads to no new barriers to access to knowledge: http://www.ifla.org/files/assets/clm/statements/item_24_-_ifla_statement.pdf
WIPO also took a nice photo of team libraries! A news piece will follow shortly.
Thanks,
Stephen
