LIBRARIAN II (Youth Services)
Salary: $44,000 Annually
Location: Main Library, West Palm Beach, FL
Plans, provides and supervises the delivery of library services to children and young adults; participates in long-range planning; supervises one professional and three paraprofessionals. Prepares and presents children’s story times/Summer Reading/other programs. Applies knowledge of children and teen literature to conduct collection development; prepares/tracks materials and equipment budgets for the section. Provides consistent handling of security and policy as a member of the main library supervisor on-call team. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Library Science accredited by the American Library Association (ALA); minimum of one (1) year of professional library experience. Preference given for experience: in public library youth services section; with reference/collection; supervising/directing the work of others; preparing/maintaining a budget.
