The National Library of Medicine (NLM) seeks qualified applicants for the position of Deputy Chief, Technical Services Division. The position has responsibility for assisting the Chief in managing Division operations, including supervising and directing the activities of approximately 80 employees with the assistance of three Section Heads and various subordinate supervisors and technical experts. The Library’s Technical Services Division is responsible for formulating and implementing collection development policies, selecting and acquiring electronic and print materials, licensing, cataloging and metadata description, and managing the NLM integrated library system, digital repository and other systems.
The incumbent will assist in expanding the scope of electronic resources for the collection, developing and implementing innovative redesign of processing workflows, leading policy and program development, utilizing data to inform and improve Division operations, and representing NLM as an authority in the field of technical services.
The annual salary range for this position is $105,211-136,771 and you must be a U.S. citizen to apply.
