Yale-NUS College in Singapore invites applications and nominations for the position of College Librarian / Associate Director, Educational Resources and Technology. The College, now in its second year, embraces a complex curriculum that reaches across a variety of disciplines and introduces a range of global perspectives, encourages active student participation in their education, offers extensive international and professional experiences, and promotes a vigorous residential co-curricular life. The College Librarian / Associate Director, Educational Resources and Technology will help establish services, collections, and spaces to advance these educational priorities.
This position is a unique opportunity for a progressive library leader energized by the challenges of founding a new academic library at a college with innovation at the core of its mission.
These challenges include:
- implementing acquisition and collection development methods that balance the needs of a broad liberal arts curriculum and faculty research,
- partnering with faculty to find creative ways to make information and digital literacy vital to the student learning experience,
- working concertedly with educational technologists to support teaching and research that make ambitious use of library and digital resources.
