LIBRARIAN II (Head of Youth Services)

Salary:  $44,000 Annually

Location:  West Boca Branch Library, 18685 State Road 7, Boca Raton, FL

                 

Plans, provides and supervises the delivery of library services to children, young adults, parents and caregivers; supervises one professional and two paraprofessional employees.  Prepares and presents children’s story times and other programs; provides collection development, reference and readers’ advisory services.  Participates in long-range planning and committee work; oversees the Summer Reading Program.  Minimum Qualification:  Master’s Degree in Library Science accredited by the American Library Association; minimum of one (1) year of professional library experience.  Preference given for experience working in a public library;  working with children; supervising the work of others.
