Director, Research Data Curation Services, UC San Diego

The UC San Diego Library seeks applicants for the position of Director, Research Data Curation Services. The successful candidate will bring vision and leadership to this innovative new program defined in the UC San Diego Library’s recent organizational restructuring initiative.  The Research Data Curation program supports efforts to make research data openly discoverable and accessible for the long term. The program is responsible for providing data management and curation support for the research-intensive UCSD community. The Director will collaborate with stakeholders including the UC Curation Center, San Diego Supercomputer Center, and the UCSD Research Cyberinfrastructure to design, develop and maintain the technical infrastructure and service models needed to support research data curation.

 

In addition to excellent communication and organizational skills, the successful applicant will need an MLS or equivalent degree and the ability to provide effective leadership in a diverse and rapidly evolving environment.
