The Director provides strategic vision and leadership for the library, archives, and media center in support of the College's liberal arts mission. The library at St. Mary's College of Maryland provides an inviting environment, dedicated librarians and staff, and excellent collections that promote learning and scholarship. Focused on teaching and learning, the librarians are involved with the College's core curriculum, which is grounded in the four liberal arts skills of critical thinking, written expression, oral expression, and information literacy. The library is committed to providing high-quality instruction and research assistance to all students, faculty, and staff.
Non-sectarian since its founding, St. Mary's College of Maryland is a public Carnegie Baccalaureate, Arts and Sciences institution located in historic St. Mary's City, 70 miles southeast of Washington, D.C.
