Duties, Functions and Responsibilities Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
1. Develop and maintain strategic and operational plans for the Austin Public Library on-line information, content, websites, library services, and programs.
2. Develop, prioritize, maintain, and direct web-related project plans and schedules.
3. Develop, write, and manage project plans including tasks, scope and impacts.
4. Define, analyze, document, and monitor requirements for data/content, workflow, and logical processes.
5. Conduct research into emerging best practices in the use of technology for content delivery and accessibility primarily related to Libraries, websites, and the Library Catalog.
6. Assists in design and implementation of business functions and customer interfaces through automation.
7. Ensure that content is consistently useful, up-to-date, accurate, and of interest to the on-line Library customer.
8. Translate Library customer needs into designs for customer interfaces that can be automated and programmatically implemented over the web.
9. Integrate historical Library measures with website traffic and usage data and monitor, analyze and report on web site traffic and usage data.
10. Ensure Library special collections are integrated smoothly into on-line delivery models.
11. Provide management with planning and control information by assembling and analyzing data; identifying trends; providing forecasts; explaining processes and techniques.
12. Coordinate project activities with divisional and cross departmental activities
